I am a mom of 4 kids and a fitness instructor certified in Group Resistance, Cycle, Choreography, TRX, Barre, Bender Ball for Runners, Flexibility & Mobility Level 1 & 2 and MOSSA Group Power. I lead fitness classes for the City of Edmonton, Spa Lady and at the Jamie Platz YMCA where I also work as a Personal Trainer. I helped to lead a beginner triathlon group through the YMCA and have lead a few half marathon and a 10km clinic trough the Callingwood Running Room.
Initially I started my fitness journey 10 yrs. ago as an ex-smoker to lose weight (lost 50lbs). I’ve also been in three car accidents in 2007 – t-boned, passenger side, and rear-ended (not my fault). It started to get easier to fall in LOVE with running and teaching people. I not only love to push myself and keep setting goals, I love to help other people find their way. My future goal is to learn how to open water swim!
Words I “groove” by
It’s tattooed on my leg.
“No Whining Allowed Just Keep Running”.
I’ve been there .. pregnant x4, over weight, car accident x3, never felt I had a place, divorced and remarried, never liked any sort of exercise.
To support each other and embrace our differences, listen, experience, live and love and to feel good in our own skin as well as our clothes !!
Why I love to Sweat
It feels so frickin good, especially when I’m done. Whether it’s a work out, a short run, a super long technical long run or your 1st 100miler.
The satisfaction of knowing you crushed your goals–it feels so frickin good, especially when you have amazing crazy friends to help you along the way!!
(dope EarthGroove design, food, hobby, sports team, movie, rockstar, inspirational quote, whatever turns my crank – I love this stuff!)
